Type: 1. Origin — One of the hyphenated Canadians, Indo-Canadians are among the top 10 ethnicities in the country in terms of population. The term began as an adjective and was later (see def. 2) used as a noun to refer to this ethnic group.

By and large, the individuals who practice violence represent only a small proportion of any people or race in Canada; but they keep the feelings of hate alive, and old hates can bind newcomers to a country together.
