Type: 1. Origin Although National Film Board is not Canadian in origin, the abbreviation NFB appears to be. National Film Board has been used as a minority variant to describe the US National Board of Review of Motion Pictures. However, as National Film Board is not the official name of the organization in the US, no such acronym is used for it (the acronym used is NBRMP).
