Use of blowdirt—the unwanted by-product of windswept summerfallow fields—as a means of "clearing" snow-blocked drainage ditches was demonstrated. . . . Sections of ditches spread with blowdirt were open and flowing clear of obstructions, while untreated sections were still blocked with snow and ice.
