Type: 5. Frequency Gyproc is a proprietary name for wall panels made of gypsum plaster between two layers of paper. The term has been generalized in Canada and New Zealand, among other locations (see Chart 1). It is, however, rare in the US, where drywall is the preferred term. See Image 1 for installed and plastered gyproc boards.
